The winner gets a internet high five. Also does anyone know how to take a ac system out of an old Volvo? (The right way?)

You’re cherry bombing a Volvo? You’re sick and twisted and I love it.

(The right way?)
You knew we were gonna say sawzall, didn’t you. ;)
First step is to get the refrigerant recovered out of there, which may involve taking it to a shop. As for the rest, disengage the lines and unbolt all the components, I guess. I expect the evaporator and condenser will be the most difficult to access. You should be able to get a delete kit that puts an idler pulley where the compressor goes.

No need for an idler pulley car is old enough each accessory has its own belt .
Also thanks, this is kinda what I figured but I always like a second opinion

You’re making the Volvo into a rally car?

What kind of a compressor I’d the AC? I yanked a York out of an old 240 from a junk yard to use in my jeep as on board air. I did cut the line and it was charged still and I would say I breathed in some fumes from it and had a terrible headache the remainder of the day.
So I would strongly suggest taking it to a shop to have it reclaimed. Then you can cut it out.
I never got the OBA setup on my jeep because projects never end. And I may have even sold the compressor anyway.

Lines have been empty for a long time, thanks for the heads up tho.
